Te Deum
Let us praise the Lord’s peace!
All is Yours, O God the Father!
The anthem rises with us
The whole earth, day and night.
Choirs of unseen angels,
The powers of the golden heavens,
Seraphim, cherubim
They sing the praises of the All-Good.
Holy is our Lord, the Almighty,
Our gracious and righteous Tsar.
The earth and the abode of the heavens
You have filled it with Your glory.
Here are the apostles, the prophets,
All those who boldly sought the truth —
Martyred heroes,
A legion clad in white.
God of peace and freedom
With a heartfelt plea,
By the voices of all peoples
Our Church sings.
Honours You — the Father and the Son
Together with the Spirit — all creation
United in joy,
In constant worship.
The Son of the Eternal Father
He descended from his throne to earth —
He took human form,
Without shunning the Virgin’s womb.
You have destroyed the stronghold of death,
He shattered her weapon,
You, the eternity of a blissful life
You open the door to faithful souls.
You sit at the right hand,
The Father’s Only-Begotten Son,
And the Day of Judgement is inevitable
For the actions of those who fall out of favour.
Having atoned for his crime
With precious, pure Blood,
We pray to You, Lord, in humility:
Wash away sin with Your love!
With the saints in the radiance
Let me return to my roots,
May He protect us in times of wandering
We are the ever-watchful eye!
We are the heirs of the Covenant,
Reign over Your children.
Every day, Lord of Light,
We call upon Your name!
The song of glory will never fall silent
A work of gratitude.
Protect us, O righteous God,
On this day, resist temptation!
Grant aid to the mortal forces,
Light up hearts and faces.
Whoever has entrusted their fate to God,
That age will never be put to shame.
